    Description

This vintage Masonic penny token is from the Nassau Chapter No. 109 R. A. M. in Brooklyn, New York.  The obverse identifies the Chapter,
    and the reverse has
    the words
    ONE PENNY
    plus
images of a chisel, keystone, and mallet.  The center of the keystone has the brother's engraved 'mark' - an anchor and the initials
    J N
.  The composition is copper, and the diameter is
    approximately 32 mm (1-1/4").  [1222G]
This item is in almost uncirculated condition, with no evident actual wear, with toning.  A coin collector could describe this item as 'red and brown' due to toning with retention of much of the original reddish copper color.
The illustrations in this listing are photos of the actual item being offered for sale, serving as part of the description.  NOTE:  The actual token has more detail, has a much better toned copper color, and is brighter than in the photos.
