    Description

    Vintage Large Compton Co textile Industry Shears. They are 11 1/2" long with the blade being 7" of that .and made for heavy duty work.  The handles are unusual because the shears are designed to rest on the table while being used rather that just held in the hand.  They are dated 1905 with Newark, NJ also stamped into the brass pin that connects the blades.  They work well and would be a great item for a seamstress or tailor even just for conversation. The shears come from a smoke free and pet free home.   They will be shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
